A few days ago, I was given the opportunity to go to a concert with my mom. It was a band she loved when she was my age too, The Cure. Not only was the music enjoyable, but it brought us together in a way that we hadn’t experienced before.

This night truly allowed me to put myself in her shoes, opening my eyes to her interests and opinions on something that we both love, music. I’m so grateful for this bonding moment, and I truly believe that it made us even closer than before.
