Peace Day

Peace Day

Dakota Brandt, Staff

Today is Tuesday, September 21st which is International Peace Day, and today at school the theme to honor it was to wear tie-dye, anything. Peace day is celebrated to strengthen the ideals of peace and to come together as a community. This day promotes global solidarity and building peace in the world.

Looking around at school today I saw a bunch of people wearing tie-dye. I went up to a couple of people who were wearing tie-dye and asked them why they think they are wearing tie-dye that day. Some of them had no idea while others said it because it was a spirit day and because it was peace day.

I feel like celebrating this day has come a long way and we can continue to promote peace day as a positive narrative for future generations. By doing this we can keep the dream of eternal peace alive.
