Living With An Essential Worker During A Pandemic

Avery Dow, sophomore, has both of her parents as essential workers. “Living with an essential worker was just like any other day,” Dow said. Avery and her family took any and all safety precautions as they could. Her parents would be sure to sanitize everything at work that they had to come into contact with, make sure to wear a mask at all times, take care of themselves and be aware of who they came into contact with. “Wearing a mask, at all times, is something my family and I are very cautious about. I do not like coming into contact with anyone who would not be wearing a mask,” said Dow. To make sure both Avery and her parents stayed safe, they made sure to stay in quarantine for at least 14 days IF anyone in the household felt sick. They also made sure to take the necessary medications if needed.  “Although we have been living in this pandemic for about 8 months now, it is still changing our lives every single day.”
