Now that we are in the part of soccer season where it is just about maintaining focus before the start of district play.

The lady soccer team over the past week went to Brownsville to compete in an invitational tournament for their record and came out as victors.

The ladies out scored their competition 14 to 3 showing that they are serious contenders for the district championship and beyond.

At the moment the ladies are 11-1-3 with multiple games coming up that are key to their season.

First they play vs Brownsville Rivera at home and then they will go on the road to start district play vs the Lobos of La Joya Palmview.

Now onto talking about the key to victory for them.

This team knows how to score goals and come back from being down early in games. It has helped them have this amazing start of winning 11 games against really competitive teams like Rivera and Eagle Pass.

What has kept them in games has been their goalkeeping. That’s why they have won games from scores of 1-0, 2-1, and even getting key ties to help them advance through their invitational tournaments.

Their defense has as well been on the ball this season even making the goalkeepers job much simpler.

That is their key for victories.

Their offense has to stay healthy and same with their defense.

If they stay this way then they will have a chance to finally beat their rival, Mchi, and win district.

If, by the slight chance they don’t win district though this team is skilled enough to go all the way to the round of 16 up in San Antonio.
