Foodamed

This past week, I went to this vegan restaurant named “Foodamed”. As you walk into the restaurant, you will notice how nice and clean it is. They just moved locations , so the place is basically brand new. They are now located at 4108 North 10th Street, McAllen Texas 78504. It is right in front of Barnes and Nobles and B’s in a Pod.

When you walk up to the counter, there is an employee there, ready to take your order. Next to the register, you will notice that you can purchase all types of vegan snacks there. They have plantain chips, teas, protein powders, agave, and multiple types of pastas bagged and ready to purchase. They even have some attire you can purchase. Next to all these snacks are these fridges. That is where they keep their meal preps, and overnight oats.

While in the restaurant you are able to eat inside and you are able to social distance six feet, if not more. There is so much space in there to move around, it’s incredible. All the employees wore their face masks at all times and constantly washed and sanitized their hands. All their employees are very friendly and wanted to make sure that all the orders were correct.

I got the Foodamed Lentil Burger which is made up of baked lentils that is mixed with fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts seasoned with savory spices. This burger is served on whole wheat buns and all the fixings such as lettuce, tomatoes, and avocados. I also got the baked french fries that came with a side of ketchup. As for my drink, I got the iced hibiscus tea. They said it would take around 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting around 45 minutes. I thought the price was reasonable considering that it is all vegan. I ended up paying around $18 for my complete meal. All in all, I would give my total experience 4 out of 5 horseshoes.
